My beautiful baby boy turned one on November 29th. I can't believe how fast one year went by. I feel like he was born yesterday. It is crazy. I had a brief moment where I thought about having another one because I just love teeny tiny babies but then I snapped back to reality and realized that having another one right now would just be a little crazy for me. One is good for now!!

Ian is so much fun! He is still crawling and will walk with a walker but not on his own yet. He says "Mama", "Dada", "Daw" (Dog), "Baba", and occasionally "Papa". He seriously is the best baby ever. He is so happy all the time and just loves to play all the time. We just love him so much. We didn't really do much on his actual birthday, my parents came over and gave him a few things and we celebrated his Birthday the Saturday after his birthday. It was so much fun and Ian got wayyy too much stuff. He was so spoiled by both of our families!

This was our attempt at making an Elmo cake... I think it turned out pretty good...

We had extra cake mix so we made a Cookie Monster cake too!

He wasn't too sure about the cake at first....but he eventually dug right in and got it all over himself. I don't have a picture of him all messy but I will have to get one from my mother in law and post it cause it was so funny!

He got a new car!!!

I made these Black Bottom Cupcakes and we also had mini quiche, yummy cheese ball, and pizza. It was a carb-fest but so so good!

Thanksgiving

We had a fun Thanksgiving this year. My parents have a house in St. George and we were able to go down and spend Thanksgiving down there. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were able to come so it was a lot of fun!

We went to watch my sister play in a soccer game. She loves soccer so much, she guest played with another team.......crazy? yes!

Nick, Ian and I also went to eat at the Bear Paw on Main Street in St. George. I highly recommend it, especially for breakfast. It was so so good! We came home Saturday because my sister had a soccer game that she just HAD to make it home for. She is weird but I love her. And that pretty much sums up our Thanksgiving. Hope you had a good one too!

Ian is teething right now and he woke up last night at around 10:00 screaming. I went into his room to get him and he wanted nothing to do with me. He just wanted his dad! I must admit I was a little jealous but it sure was cute and made Nick feel really good. Ian cuddled with Nick for about a half hour which is not normal. He rarely cuddles so this was memorable! I just had to take a few pics. The quality isn't great but here are a few pics of Ian and daddy cuddling. So cute.

Not too much going on around our household except Ian turned 10 Months on the 29th of September. He is so close to walking, I can't wait! Easter Weekend

We went up to Rexburg for Easter Weekend. Nick's Grandma Moore moved into a nursing home so we went up so she could meet Ian.
We had a lovely Easter meal consisting of ham, potatoes, and very yummy brussel sprouts.
Ian and Grandma LOVED each other, and I'm so glad she was able to meet him cause who knows how long it will be until we are able to go visit again.
It was a short but fun weekend. Now I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend, and getting ready for our 2 year Anniversary!! Yay!

We haven't had too much going on lately. Ian and I went down to St. George last weekend with my family but it rained all weekend. We did get to go watch my cousin Hayley ride in a horse show. Ian is doing so much better. He is off the oxygen and only had to have it for about a week. He is getting so big now. He will be 4 months on the 29th. He is drooling constantly and loves to put everything in his mouth, especially his fists. He is a really good baby (for the most part) but I think he is for sure a mama's boy. Almost everytime I leave to run an errand and leave Ian with Nick, I come home to find Nick frantic and Ian crying and as soon as he sees me he stops crying. Nick is really sad about it and thinks that Ian doesn't like him. I think it's just a phase that he will hopefully grow out of soon. He laughed for Nick today so that is a start ha ha. Here are a few pictures. I can't seem to be quick enough to catch a smile, but he is still adorable..

What a CRAZY week! My poor baby had to be admitted to the hospital last Monday for RSV. I took him to the doctor because he had a cough and when I got there the doctor tested for RSV and the results were positive. He also hooked him up to a monitor that checks the level of oxygen that he was getting and he wasn't getting enough oxygen so he sent us straight to the hospital. We were lucky because Ian was the least sick baby with RSV. We spent 2 days there and they sent us home with an oxygen tank and hopefully he can get it off by tomorrow!

Also...we moved to Bountiful! We found a very cute apartment and moved over the weekend, pictures soon to come!!!

Ian's Birth Story

I was induced on November 29th. Nick and I arrived at the hospital at 7 a.m. and the doctor broke my water at 8 a.m. and things started moving super fast. By 11:30 my contractions were about 2 minutes apart. I couldn't take it any longer so I got the epidural at 12. I was so nervous for this part but let me just say that the epidural was AMAZING! I couldn't feel any pain and by 3 it was time to start pushing. I pushed for 46 minutes and Ian was born at 3:46 p.m. He weighed 7lbs. 13oz. and he was 21 inches long. It is pretty cool because my husband weighed the same and was the same length when he was born.

After I gave birth I was experiencing a lot of back pain. I couldn't even move without hurting myself. It was awful. The nurses said it I probably strained my back during labor. I got lots of pain meds that helped a lot!! Everything was going fine and we were enjoying Ian so much when the anesthesiologist nurse came in and told me that the girl who performed my epidural messed up and put the catheter in too far in my back which created air pockets around my spine and because of this I might experience an extremely bad migraine that could start a few days after giving birth and last up to a whole week. I had about a 30-50% chance of getting this head ache.

Everything was going fine on Wednesday when we came home and I was feeling fine until that night. I started experiencing a terrible head ache that went from the front of my head all the way to the back of my neck and shoulders. I would feel fine if I laid down but when I stood up I was in so much pain. I couldn't even enjoy or take care of my brand new baby. It was awful. Nick was having to take care of me and Ian. By Friday I couldn't take it anymore. The head ache was unbearable and it actually caused me to throw up. The nurse said if I got the head ache and my pain medication wasn't working then I would have to go back to the hospital and they would have to perform a blood patch. A blood patch is where they take blood from you and insert it into your spine so it can fill up all the empty space around my spine that was causing my head ache. As soon as they inserted the blood into my back, I felt a million times better. The head ache was gone instantly and I felt great! I was so happy that I was finally able to enjoy my sweet baby instead of being miserable.
Everything is going fine now and we absolutely LOVE our brand new baby. He is perfect. I will be posting new pictures soon. I lost the cord to my camera so as soon as I find it I will be posting pics of our lovely boy.

I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure was not high (unfortunately). So I have to go in on Friday to the hospital for a stress test and if my blood pressure is high, then they will induce me right then, but if it is not then next Monday the 29th of November at 7:15 I will be induced and our little boy will arrive. I am SO nervous! I hope all goes well. Can't wait to get labor over with. It's gonna hurt.

So we went to the Dr. on Thursday and...my blood pressure was still high so the Dr. did an ultrasound and everything looked good so he decided to keep me on bed rest and try to let this little guy cook in my tummy a little bit longer. (unfortunately). I am so impatient. I just want to see him so bad, it is killing me! I go back to the Dr. on Monday and they are going to check my urine for protein cause I guess if I have too much protein in my urine it can mean that I have toximia and that aint good. So we will just have to wait and see.......until then..........gotta get back to watching 16 and Pregnant! See ya.

I had my 36 week doctor's appointment today and................

my blood pressure was high, so I have officially been put

on bedrest. Just Great. I go to the doctor again on

Thursday and if my blood pressure is still high then I

will be induced. This is both exciting, yet terrifying!!

I still have so much to do! He isn't supposed to arrive for

4 more weeks!!!! Good thing I have a wonderful husband, mom,

mother-in-law, and best friend to do most of the work for me! :)

Well, that's all for now. I better get back to laying on the couch!

A little late I know.......

We had an awesome Labor Day this year. We ended up going to watch my husbands dad's band play at Antelope Island for the Balloon Festival. It was so much fun! Their band is way good and it's always fun to listen to them play. We also went up to Bear Lake with Nick's family for the weekend. We had a great time!

Our baby is already spoiled and he isn't even here yet! All of our friends and family are so excited for the baby boy to get here. Kaley and Jeremy (sister and brother in law) went out and bought him a very cute baseball outfit that I cannot wait to put him in! Todd and Jordyn (friends) are also super excited and they bought him his first BYU onsie. There is no way anyone is gonna let this baby be anything other than a BYU fan!

A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nick and I went to the doctor today to get our ultrasound to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. My mom wasn't able to go with us but it was great because Nick's mom was able to come and she got to video it for us which was great! We were wanting to have a boy as our first child so we were very happy and now we can start working on his nursery and start picking a name, (which I think is the hardest part!)

Can't wait to meet you little guy.....hope the rest of these 20 weeks fly by!

We had our first ultrasound today and we finally found out my due date! I am due on
December 13th which means I am 11 weeks. We are so excited and can't wait! Here is
a picture of the baby. It is hard to tell where it is but there is a dotted line that shows

So....Nick and I found out that we are going to have a BABY! We found out on April 11th. We haven't gone to the doctor yet but are going soon. We think that I am about 6-8 weeks but aren't sure. I will let you all know when we find out!!

One Fun Night!

My husband had the BRILLIANT idea to volunteer himself to bring a grill to work
for a lunch party. It would be fine if the grill wasn't still in the box and not put together
AT ALL!! So last night we spent the whole night putting together our grill which was in
about 50 pieces. It ended up being really fun and didn't take as long as I thought.

It looks great and I can't wait til we get to use it this spring and summer!

Decisions.....

So.........I finished hair school and have been graduated for almost 2 years and I worked at a salon for a year and a half and I didn't like it very much. This puts me at a cross roads..I have an amazing job working for my dad from 7am to 1pm. I could get a job working part time in a salon, or go back to school. Nick works at the university of phoenix and I could get 80% off school if I decided to go back. I am currently interested in getting a degree in communications to become a film critic. Crazy and random I know but I think it would be so much fun. I am thinking that I will probably go back to school and I can keep my current job and do hair part time on the side. I just hope its not too much for me to handle. Ahhh I don't know what to do........any advice?!

Christmas

Christmas was amazing! On christmas eve we went over to Nick's parents house. We got awesome gifts, some of which include the new HTC Hero phone and a new grill and a present from a few different countries in Europe which was really cool. On Christmas Day we went over to my parents and got a new kitchen table and jazz tickets!! we had a very joyus Christmas and we are sad it's already over. Now I have to go back to work Monday which I am not looking forward to. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2 week break!

Nick and I are moving to Layton. We found a three bedroom apartment for a really good price and we couldn't pass it up! It is a littleolder but it will do just fine for now. Its right by Nick's work so he can even ride his bike in the summer (which i doubt but we'll see!) ha ha. We are moving in tomorrow so i will post pics when we get all settled!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

We had so much to do on Thanksgiving. Our day started by having a wonderful breakfast with Nick's family. His dad is a wonderful cook and made us abelskievers. For those who do not know what those are, they are kind of miniature pancakes but fluffier and much better! We then went to my grandma's house and had a huge thanksgiving meal with my mothers side of the family. It was sad because my grandpa past away a few years ago from cancer and it's always hard to celebrate the holidays without him. We had the opportunity to go around and have everyone say what they were thankful for and I said my husband. Cheesy I know ha ha but I am very thankful for everything that he does for me. He is such a great husband! I am also thankful for my grandma and how strong she has been. She is almost cancer free and we know she will beat it! After we were done at my grandma's we had to go up to my aunt Cindi's house. I purposefully ate very little at my grandmas so I would have room for more food at my aunts! We had a really fun time. Nick and I played guitar hero rock band with my cousins which is one of my favorite games! (for some reason I really like to sing which is so not like me!) We also celebrated my uncle Brett and cousin Jake's birthday, so Happy Birthday you two! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, now bring on the gym cause I really need it!!!!

I must be the worst wife ever! I forgot to blog about my husbands birthday. He turned 26 on november 11th. (he is getting old!) ha ha jk but we celebrated with his family and ate yummy enchaladas! (my favorite). He got some lots of good gifts including the long awaited modern warfare 2 which he gets very good use out of. thatls one gift that definately did not go to waste! New Jobs

So......a lot has happened since the last time that I posted. Nick got a job at the University of Pheonix as an enrollment counselor! I am so happy for him. This will be a very good opportunity for us. He also gets free school and I can go for 80% off which is fabulous!! My job situation has also changed. I am no longer working at Salon and Spa Fifth Avenue. I was getting to the point where I needed to make more money and with the owners new change in her salon, it was not possible for me to keep working there part time and have another job on the side for extra money, so I started working for my dad delivering soap to school kitchens. Funny job I know but it pays good money and the hours are really good. I have to wake up super early at around six but I am all done working by 2 which is way nice! I want to continue my career in the hair industry, I just need to find a part time job at a salon so I can keep my current one, so if you hear of anything please let me know so I can continue to please everyone with my amazing hair cutting skills!! ;) We are still currently living in Nick's parents basement and we are looking for a house or apartment to rent somewhere between Farmington and Clearfield. What I really want is to rent a cute, small, older home so again if anyone knows of anything for rent, please let me know. Thank you and goodbye!

My best friend/sister in law Kaley and I went to the Keith Urban concert!! It was so much fun. We bought tickets on the day of the concert for only $22.00. It was at the Energy Solutions Arena and we were on the 3rd to top row. It wasn't horrible seating believe it or not but we still wanted to be CLOSER! There were tons of empty seats like 15 rows from us so we moved down which was awesome!!!! I had so much fun and it was a great girls night out! Thanks Kay! Keith was awesome!!

Wow! It has been a while since I have posted. There is absolutely nothing new going on in our lives so it is hard to find something to post about...........I celebrated my birthday with Nick's family and his dad made a fabulous dinner and I got some wonderful gifts! I got a purse, a shirt, and some sweat pants from Kaley and Jeremy. From Jacq and Carlos I got two cute shirts, and from his parents I got a gift card to IKEA and a new phone! Ok the phone is actually not here yet but it is coming soon! It's a palm pre from sprint and I can't wait to use it! We had a very good Labor Day weekend. My parents went out of town and we had to watch my brother and sister and it was a very relaxing weekend. We are looking for apartments/homes to rent somewhere in the Clearfield/Layton area. It is very hard to choose cause there are quite a few that are pretty nice. I hope we can get in one soon. I really wanna decorate and have our own space! Oh and I am in the process of becoming a blonde which is really weird for me because I have always been dark so it should be interesting! Nick and I are FINALLY moving back to Utah. He has an interview with the University of Phoenix on Tuesday and hopefully he gets it! He would be working as an enrollment counselor. It would be such a good job and he would get free school! If that does not work out, my dad offered Nick a job working for his company which would also be wonderful! We are done selling door to door, YAHOO!!!!!!!!!

Sunday was my 21 birthday so my wonderful husband took me shopping and I got some shirts, and two pairs of shoes. We were going to take a tram up to the top of the mountain where there is a restaurant at the top but we ran out of time for that so we are going to do that next week. All in all it was a very good birthday! Thank you everyone who sent me presents! I appreciate them very much! Kaley, I still haven't gotten yours cause we are still out of town but I am most excited for yours!! :) If you decide to tell me what they are before I open them, then I am totally, 100% ok with that ha ha.

We are currently in the dumbest, most boring town ever known to man. Carlsbad is the name and there is absolutely nothing to do here. Morgan and I went to the "mall" and it consisted of maybe 8 stores total, including a Sears. There was a really cute boutique store where I got a really cute purse. That was about the only cute store that they have. Sorry for all the complaining but it just sucks ha ha. There are some caves here that I heard are really cool. We are going to go see them tomorrow morning so hopefully those are fun.

Nick and I had to take my brother and sister to the airport this morning and we got in the car and noticed that the GPS was gone and there were papers from the glove box all over the floor of the car! We checked the trunk where nick had left his tennis rackets and they were also gone. We noticed that all of my cd's were missing except for matchbox twenty and rob thomas :). So we had been robbed which really really sucks! Nick has really bad luck with things like this, last year in Pheonix his apartment was robbed and they stole his ipod, laptop, and xbox. I feel bad cause he has lost a ton of stuff! Nick's cousin and his wife also got broken into last night but they only took some sunglasses. We are very upset and we hope they get caught!!! I cannot wait to get back to Utah. 26 days and counting.............

I was in my bathroom this morning and I found the BIGGEST, MOST DISCUSTING thing that I have ever found in a house....My brother and sister were here with me and they wouldn't kill it and my husband was gone to a meeting so I tried to scoop it up in a paper cup but it disappeared underneath our sink and I couldn't find it. I told Nick and he thought I was just being a baby and over exaggerating on how big and gross it was but later that night I made him look for it and he found it and he was just as discusted as I was! He stabbed it with a plastic fork and it was still alive so then he wrapped it in a piece of paper and squished it and it was STILL MOVING! This stupid centipede thing was invincible!!! I made him wrap it in a plastic sack and stick it outside until he can take it to the dumpster. I am so glad that thing is out of my apartment...If anyone is thinking about getting an apartment that is on the ground level, please reconsider, I hate it!

I finally got a job working at Super Cuts as a receptionist. It's not much but it is a job and it is very easy ha ha, I love easy! While I was at work the other day I was chatting with a guy and he asked me why my husband and I moved to Albuquerque and I told him that Nick was out here selling satellite TV door to door and he told me that he has 3 companies, a Mortgage company, A dealership, and a Satellite TV company which was very ironic because my husband works for a satellite company and he is looking for someone to knock door to door and recruit people to sell Dish Network. I took his card and Nick called him and we are going to dinner tonight with this man and his wife to talk more about it but it sounds like a very very good opportunity for us. I hope something good comes out of this! I will let all of you know, keep your fingers crossed!!!!

I have been looking for a job ever since we moved here in May and it was very hard, I could not get anyone to like me enough to hire me. :( I can't cut hair here in New Mexico because my license does not transfer her which is a huge bummer! I applied at everywhere..........TJ Maxx, Barnes and Noble, 3 receptionist jobs, Borders, and many others. I finally searched on craig's list (which I should have done from the very beginning) and found an ad for a receptionist for an aveda salon, and another job for a retail specialist at super cuts. I applied for both and got the first job at the aveda salon and started training and then I got a call from the second job at Super Cuts, but not the one I applied for........I got a different job being a CSR Project person or something like that, which I am not sure what that really means yet but with this second job I would be getting paid more and it is a lot closer to my apartment. I just do not know what to do yet because I already have had my training and everything for the second job and to be honest, the owner of the salon kinda scares me ha ha and I don't really wanna tell her that I quit. I am such a baby! I think the Super Cuts job will work out much better but if you have any advice, please give it to me!!!

We had a very lovely and relaxing 4th of July. We grilled the best steaks in the world and relaxed inside most of the day because it rained for a while. (The weather here sucks!) At about 11:30 p.m. we got invited by one of Nick's co workers to go light fireworks with them, the apartments won't let us lite fireworks here so we had to go to the church, (hopefully they didn't mind). I am not good at taking pictures but here are a few from our night..

It was our Doggys birthday on the 20th and I just wanted to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! He is 3 years old now and I can't believe it. Nick gave him to me when he was only 6 months old. My husband is gone for three days for work. His office thought that they could do really well selling in an area 3 HOURS AWAY!! They are all staying in a hotel and the wives were not invited........that's just rude. haha jk but I do miss him and he has not even been gone a day. I am a very very big baby and am sorta scared of the dark and hate staying alone so this will be hard for me. I wish we had a security system, it would make me feel a little bit better. Hopefully he does really well there and makes this time apart worth it, and hopefully I survive! I will let ya know........

Yummy Cinnamon Rolls!

I have decided to share with all of you a recipe once a week of new things that I am trying to make ha ha. I am trying to learn how to be a good cook so I hope you like these!!

Cinnamon Rolls

Dough Ingredients: 4 Eggs, 6 ounces sugar, 1 teaspoon fine salt,

2 cups milk (lukewarm), 4 ounces margarine, 8 cups flour,

2 tablespoons yeast.

Filling Ingredients: 4 ounces margarine, 2 cups brown sugar,

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, one cup pecans (if you wish).

Icing Ingredients: 4 cups powdered sugar, 4 ounces margarine,

1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon almond extract.

Dough Directions: Mix eggs, sugar, and salt for your dough mixture. Combine warm milk and margarine and add to the egg mixture. Slowly add 4 cups flour and beat well. Add yeast and mix thoroughly. Add remaining 4 cups flour and mix on medium speed for 7 mins. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit until double in size, (about 1 hour). Roll dough in a 1 1/2 by 2 Ft. rectangle.

Filling Directions: Spread 4 ounces margarine over dough and sprinkle entire surface with brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. Roll dough into a cylinder shape starting with bottom edge and cut into 12 slices. Place slices on oiled pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 mins. Cool and cover with Icing.

Icing Directions: Stir all ingredients until thoroughly combined.

New Puppy or no New Puppy?

We have been contemplating getting a second dog. Nick gave me Forrest for Christmas one year, and he wants his own dog now. I found an animal shelter here and they have a few cute puppies that we like but we can't decide what kind to get. I would prefer something that does not shed cause dog hair is gross so we were thinking a Golden Doodle, pitbull mix (those are scary), or Standard Poodle. I would like to get another dog that looks exactly like Forrest so we could have twinner dogs, but he gets to decide unfortunately haha but let us know what you think about this and give us your advice!

So Nick and I have started renting the Heroes seasons and I wasn't sure if I would like them because I don't usually like super hero stuff but I thought I would try it out and I absolutely LOVE it!! we are already on the second season and we can't wait to watch more. It has so many twists and turns and I can't wait for the new season! Anyone who has thought about watching it should really do it, you won't regret it!

So there is not much new in our lives but Nick sold 13 accounts last week and was the top rep for his region! He did so awesome and I am so proud of him. He is doing so well and hopefully he can continue to do well in the weeks to come. I still do not have a job but am searching and searching! I did a lot of hair last week and made some very good money so hopefully I can continue to do that.

Ok so I am back in Utah for about a week and I have missed it so much but I miss my husband even more!! I cannot wait to get back to New Mexico and see him. He is working so hard and he is doing such a good job and I just wanted to let him know how proud I am of him! He is an amazing husband and I can't wait to be back there with him. I love you honey!
